Commonwealth Service at Westminster Abbey 2024

Queen Camilla was joined by the Prince of Wales, the Princess Royal, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and the Duke of Kent at the annual Commonwealth Day Service at Westminster Abbey on March 11th. King Charles III is the Head of the Commonwealth, and the Commonwealth Service is the largest annual inter-faith gathering in the United Kingdom.

Order of the Garter Service 2023

The British Royal Family joined the King and Queen to attend the Service for the Most Noble Order of the Garter at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle on June 19th, following Trooping the Colour and the Coronation. The oldest and most senior Order of Chivalry in Britain, the Most Noble Order of the Garter was founded by King Edward III in 1348, and is limited to the Sovereign, the Prince of Wales and 24 members as well as members of the Royal Family, known as Royal Knights and Ladies, and Foreign Sovereigns, known as Stranger (or Extra) Knights and Ladies. Coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla

Royalty and Heads of State from around the world have gathered to join the British Royal Family for the spectacular Coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla at Westminster Abbey on May 6th, which is the first British Coronation in 70 years. The Ceremony follows the King’s Accession Council in September as well as a Reception for Royalty and Heads of State at Buckingham Palace.

Christmas Lunch at Windsor Castle 

King Charles III and Queen Camilla hosted their first Christmas Lunch for members of the extended British Royal Family at Windsor Castle on December 20th, continuing the late Queen’s tradition of hosting a lunch for those family members who aren’t invited to spend Christmas with the Royal Family at Sandringham in Norfolk, due to lack of space. The Royal Family joined the Princess of Wales for the second annual ‘Together at Christmas’ Carol Service at Westminster Abbey on December 15th. Spearheaded by the Princess, and supported by the Royal Foundation, the service recognises the selfless efforts of individuals, families and communities across the UK, and celebrate and showcase the joy that human connection and togetherness can bring.

Foreign Royal Guests and Relatives joined the British Royal Family for the Committal Service for Queen Elizabeth II at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle on September 19th, following the Funeral at Westminster Abbey and a Procession through London. The late Queen, who passed away at Balmoral Castle earlier this month, had been Lying-in-State first at St Giles’ Cathedral in Edinburgh and then at Westminster Hall in London for the past week.   Continue reading

Funeral of Queen Elizabeth II

Foreign Royal Guests and Relatives and Heads of State and Representatives of 121 Countries joined the British Royal Family for the Funeral of Queen Elizabeth II at Westminster Abbey on September 19th, followed by a Procession to Marble Arch and a Committal Service at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle. The late Queen, who passed away at Balmoral Castle earlier this month, had been Lying-in-State first at St Giles’ Cathedral in Edinburgh and then at Westminster Hall in London for the past week.

Heads of State Reception at Buckingham Palace

Ahead of the Funeral of Queen Elizabeth II at Westminster Abbey tomorrow, the British Royal Family hosted a Reception for visiting Heads of State and Representatives at Buckingham Palace, which is stated to be one of the largest gatherings of Heads of State in History. The late Queen, who passed away at Balmoral Castle earlier this month, has been Lying-in-State first at St Giles’ Cathedral in Edinburgh and then at Westminster Hall in London for the past week, with the Funeral at Westminster Abbey tomorrow to be followed by a Procession to Marble Arch and a Committal Service at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle. Governors General Reception at Buckingham Palace

The Royal Family hosted a Lunch and Reception at Buckingham Palace for the Realm Governors General of Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, the Bahamas, Belize, Canada, Grenada, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, the Solomon Islands and Tuvalu, who are the Official Representatives of King Charles III in those Commonwealth Realms, following the death of Queen Elizabeth II, whose coffin is currently Lying-in-State at the Palace of Westminster.
