The earrings were inherited by her daughter, Queen Ingrid of Denmark, who seems to have given the earrings as a wedding gift to her eldest granddaughter, Princess Alexia, who first wore them on her wedding day in 1999, with the Khedive of Egypt Tiara also from Crown Princess Margareta.

The Diamond Earrings have been regularly worn by Princess Alexia at a variety of events, including the Wedding of Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark, Crown Prince Felipe’s Wedding Gala, and the Wedding of Prince Joachim. These are very nice looking earrings. They’re substantial and look very elegant by themselves or with her tiara. They’re made of marquise cut diamonds forming the leaves around a round diamond bud. Very nice indeed!
