Happy Wedding Anniversary to King Charles III and Queen Camilla! Two Kings, Two Queens, and the Heirs of Norway, Romania and Serbia led Royal Guests and Relatives at the Wedding Blessing of the Prince of Wales and Camilla Parker-Bowles at Windsor Castle on this day in 2005, 20 years ago, after being delayed for a day so the Prince could attend the Funeral of Pope John II.
It is with a heavy heart that I write this post so soon after the last one. My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families. King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain are on a State Visit to Japan from April 4th-7th with the aim of strengthening friendly relations between Japan and Spain. They are based in Tokyo, and on April 7th, traveled by train to Shizuoka City with Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko. The royal couples also visited the Fugetsuro Complex. Continue reading

The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall were visiting Italy from March 31st to April 5th on advice from the British Government. They were based in Florence, and visited Vicenza, Naples, Amatrice, and Rome. Queen Elizabeth II, accompanied by the Duke of York, presented a Guidon to The Royal Lancers at Windsor Castle on April 5th. A Guidon is a heraldic banner carried by cavalry regiments, the equivalent of the Colours borne by regiments of line infantry. Continue reading

The Duchess of Cambridge attended the Opening Night of the musical 42nd Street at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane in London in aid of East Anglia’s Children’s Hospice (EACH) on April 4th. The Dutch Royal family attended the 2017 King’s Day Concert (Koningsdagconcert) at Theaters Tilburg in Tilburg on April 3rd. The concert is held in honour of King’s Day on April 27th.
