King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of the Netherlands are hosting German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and First Lady Elke Büdenbender on their State Visit to The Netherlands on June 9 to 11. The Dutch King and Queen went on a State Visit to Germany in 2022.
King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima officially welcomed German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and First Lady Elke Büdenbender outside the Royal Palace on Dam Square in Amsterdam, followed by a Luncheon inside the Royal Palace.
In the afternoon, the King and Queen joined the President and First Lady for a visit to the National Holocaust Museum and to Resto VanHarte in Amsterdam East, a community restaurant serving as part of the Sociale Basis Amsterdam Oost.
The Princess of Orange joined King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of the Netherlands as they hosted a State Banquet in honour of President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and First Lady Elke Büdenbender at the Royal Palace in Amsterdam. Both the King and President gave speeches.
Queen Máxima wore the Dutch Sapphire Tiara and Queen Emma’s Sapphire Bow Brooch with the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany.
The Princess of Orange wore the Diamond Star Tiara with the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany.
