Happy Birthday to Prince Constantjin of The Netherlands, who turns 50 today! The youngest son of Queen Beatrix and Prince Claus of The Netherlands, he is the brother of King Willem-Alexander and the late Prince Friso, and was named after his godfather, King Constantine II of Greece. Studying law at Leiden University, worked for the EU, before receiving a Master of Business Administration at INSEAD, and then working for the International Finance Corporation of the World Bank group in Washington, DC, Booz Allen Hamilton in London, and the RAND Corporation Europe in Brussels along with a part-time position at the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs in The Hague and being a Special Envoy for TechLeap.NL. Prince Constantjin does not undertake many official engagements, but does support the King and Royal Family at some annual events, like Koningsdag and Prinsjesdag, in his role as the 4th in the line of succession. In 2000, he married Laurentien Brinkhorst, with whom he has three children: Countess Eloise, Count Claus-Casimir, and Countess Leonore. The family lives in The Hague. I wish HRH a very Happy Birthday and Many Happy Returns!
