Prince Albert II and Princess Charlène attended, last night, the gala celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Prince Albert II Foundation in Monaco, organized as part of the exceptional event at the Salle Garnier of the Monte Carlo Opera House.
Alongside Monica Bellucci and Richard Gere, honorary guests, the evening brought together Isabelle Huppert, Eva Herzigova, and Catrinel Marlon, as well as many personalities who came to support the Foundation’s work and the commitments made by the Sovereign Prince in favor of protecting our planet.
Since its creation in 2006, the Foundation has been working internationally to preserve ecosystems and promote global health, around three major issues: climate change, biodiversity, and water resources. In twenty years, it has supported over 830 projects around the world, alongside scientists, institutions, organizations, and grassroots actors.
In a transformed Garnier Hall for the occasion, performances by Christina Aguilera, Plácido Domingo, and Sister Sledge set the tone for the evening, which was marked by commitment and generosity. The dinner, conceived by the star chef Yannick Alléno, and an exceptional auction led by Simon de Pury, also marked this anniversary evening.
Beyond the celebration of twenty years of action, the gala paid tribute to those who contribute, through their commitment and support, to keeping the Foundation’s mission alive. It also marked a new chapter, as challenges related to the climate, biodiversity, the ocean, and natural resources continue.
