King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium are in Boston as the Duchess of Brabant graduates from Harvard with a Masters in Public Policy this week, following a Bachelors at the University of Oxford.
King Philippe and Queen Mathilde arrived in Boston and met with the Dean of the Harvard Kennedy School, Professor Jeremy Weinstein.
The following day, the King, the Queen, and Princess Elisabeth attended the Address to Graduates of the Harvard Kennedy School, when the graduates are honoured in the presence of their families and guests.
Princess Elisabeth walked together with her fellow students in togas through the streets of Cambridge toward the graduation ceremony at Harvard.
The ceremony is notably marked by speeches from Conan O’Brien, graduating students, and guests of honour. The King and Queen are also present at the ceremony alongside the some 30,000 participants.
For the official diploma ceremony, the Princess, the King, and Queen took a moment for a few posed — and historic! — photos.
