Queen Juliana and Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands hosted King Gustaf VI Adolf and Queen Louise of Sweden on their State Visit to The Netherlands on this day in 1955, 70 years ago, ahead of the Dutch State Visit to Sweden in 1957.
Queen Juliana and Prince Bernhard received King Gustaf VI Adolf and Queen Louise (in the Pearl and Diamond Ivy Brooch) in an Official Welcome Ceremony at the Royal Palace of Amsterdam, where the two Royal Couples appeared on the Palace Balcony.
King Gustaf VI Adolf and Queen Louise (wearing the Queen Sofia’s Nine Prong Tiara) were joined by Queen Juliana (in the Dutch Sapphire Tiara) and Prince Bernhard for a Gala Performance in Amsterdam.
