The Royal Family hosted the annual Diplomatic Reception at Buckingham Palace on the evening of December 5th, which is held for the second time in King Charles’ Reign and the first after his Coronation.
King Charles III and Queen Camilla were joined by the Prince and Princess of Wales for the annual Diplomatic Reception at Buckingham Palace, earlier posing for a photograph taken in the 1844 Room at Buckingham Palace.
The glittering white tie affair is the the main ambassadorial social event of the year in London. In addition to ambassadors, high commissioners and their partners, around 600 foreign diplomats based in London were among the guests together with around 300 British diplomats and senior figures from commerce, education, broadcasting and the arts.
Like the past few years, there was a rota photographer who took pictures from inside the event, a shock even after a surprise portrait seven years ago, the images from 2018, those from 2019 and from last year. There was also a group photograph taken in the 1844 Room at Buckingham Palace
It has been confirmed by @josiegoodbody that the spectacular Diamond Stomacher worn by Queen Camilla at the Diplomatic Reception did indeed come from the Greville Bequest and was likely made by Cartier.
