Following her Golden Jubilee Gala and Banquet as well as the Funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, Queen Margrethe II of Denmark tested positive for covid, and thus Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary presided over tonight’s Banquet and Ball at Christiansborg Palace, which mark the end of Queen Margrethe’s Golden Jubilee.
Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary hosted a Banquet and Ball at Christiansborg Palace for members of the Danish Government, Folketing, and Danish members of the European Parliament on the evening of September 23rd. The Banquet is held once every Parliamentary Term, with the last one held in 2018. After the Banquet in the Great Hall of the Palace, the Royal Family and their guests moved on to a Ball at the Knight’s Hall. Princess Benedikte was also present.
Crown Prince Frederik wore White Tie with the Neck Badge of the Order of Dannebrog and the Sash and Star of the Order of the Elephant. Crown Princess Mary repeated a David Andersen gown with her Wedding Tiara, Diamond Fringe Earrings, the Sash and Star of the Order of the Elephant and Queen Margrethe II’s Royal Family Order.
