Queen Margrethe’s Golden Jubilee Service

Following last night’s Gala Performance at the Royal Theatre in Copenhagen, Royal Guests and Relatives joined the Danish Royal Family for Queen Margrethe’s Golden Jubilee Service at Copenhagen Cathedral in the morning of September 11th, which was followed by a Lunch on the Royal Yacht Dannebrog, as well as a Banquet at Christiansborg Palace.

Royal Guests and Relatives joined the Danish Royal Family for Queen Margrethe’s Golden Jubilee Service at Copenhagen Cathedral, which was followed by a Lunch on the Royal Yacht Dannebrog.

Queen Margrethe II (in her Diamond Daisy Brooch) was joined by Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary (wearing the Connaught Sapphire Brooch), Prince ChristianPrincess Isabella, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine as well as Prince Joachim and Princess Marie (in Queen Alexandrine’s Sapphire Brooch),  Prince NikolaiPrince Felix, Prince Henrik and Princess Athena.

Foreign Royal Guests and Relatives were led by King Harald V and Queen Sonja of Norway and King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden alongside the Presidents and First Ladies of Finland and Iceland.

The Greek Royal Family were led by Queen Anne-Marie of Greece, along with Princess Alexia and Don Carlos Morales Quintana, Princess Theodora and Mathew Kumar, and Prince Philippos and Princess Nina, while Princess Benedikte was joined by Princess Alexandra of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg, Countess Ahlefeldt-Laurvig-Bille and Count Michael Ahlefeldt-Laurvig-Bille, and Princess Nathalie of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg. Count Ingolf and Countess Sussie of Rosenborg were also present.

  1. The Queen’s two sisters are wearing a special medal to commemorate the Jubilee. I’d like to see it up-close!
