The Shah of Iran and Queen Soraya were joined by Princess Shahnaz Pahlavi as they hosted the President of the Italian Republic Giovanni Gronchi on this State Visit to Iran on this day in 1957, the highlight of which were the three spectacular Banquets hosted by the Shah and Queen (wearing her Emerald Tiara, Diamond Tiara, and Harry Winston Diamond Necklace) in honour of the President at spectcular Palaces around Tehran, including a Buffet in the gardens of the Golestan Palace.
