Royalty and Heads of State from around the world have gathered to join the British Royal Family for the spectacular Coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla at Westminster Abbey on May 6th, which is the first British Coronation in 70 years. The Ceremony follows the King’s Accession Council in September as well as a Reception for Royalty and Heads of State at Buckingham Palace.
The King, Queen and members of the Royal Family attended the annual Easter Sunday Service at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle on April 9th, which is also the Anniversary of the Wedding of the King and Queen and the Death of the Duke of Edinburgh in 2021.
The King, Queen and members of the Royal Family attended the annual Christmas Service at St. Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham, Norfolk on December 25th. Most of the members of the family are staying on the Sandringham Estate for the Holiday Season, for the first time since 2019.
On the third day of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Weekend, members of the Royal Family traveled around the United Kingdom, following the Trooping the Colour Ceremony and Platinum Jubilee Service at St Paul’s Cathedral, while the Queen cancelled her attendance at the Derby at Epsom Downs, all ahead of tonight’s Platinum Jubilee Concert outside Buckingham Palace. The Queen pulled out of today’s Platinum Jubilee Service at St Paul’s Cathedral due to ‘discomfort’ caused during yesterday’s Trooping the Colour Ceremony, and was instead represented by the Prince of Wales, supported by members of the ended Royal Family. Continue reading
Members of the British Royal family celebrated the Queen’s Official Birthday by attending the annual Trooping the Colour ceremony in London on June 2nd, launching the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Weekend Festivities. They rode on horses and in carriages to inspect the guards at Horse Guards Parade and then watched a RAF Flypast from the Balcony of Buckingham Palace. The Duke of Cambridge presided over the Colonel’s Review of the Irish Guards last week.
