The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall are on a 9-day tour of the Middle East. They started their tour on November 5th in Muscat, Oman. They attended a Cultural Arrival at the Palace Boulevard, a Service of Holy Communion at the Protestant Church, and a Dinner hosted by The Sultan of Oman. The Prince of Wales visited the new National Museum, a Christian Cemetery, the Ras Al Shajar wildlife reserve, and an event for young leaders in Oman. The Duchess of Cornwall visited the Dar Al Hanan Hospice with Oman Cancer Association,and a reception for “Women in Business”. Continue reading

The Duke & Duchess of Cambridge visited Haida Gwaii, an archipelago on the northern coast of British Columbia, on Day 7 of their Royal Visit to Canada. They arrived by canoe at the Haida Heritage Centre and Museum in Skidegate, where they received a traditional First Nations welcome. Later they opened the new Haida Gwaii Hospital and Care Centre, before going for a boat ride and fishing on the waters of the Hecate Strait. Continue reading

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge continued their tour of Canada in Kelowna, British Columbia, and in Whitehorse, Yukon on September 27th. They visited the University of British Columbia’s Okanagan campus, watching a volleyball game, and later visiting the ‘Taste of British Columbia‘ festival at Mission Hill Winery in Kelowna. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge spent Day 3 of the Royal Visit to Canada in Bella Bell and Victoria. Their initial engagement of day was canceled due to the rain, but the Duke & Duchess attended a traditional First Nations welcome in Bella Bella, and the dedication of the Great Bear Rainforest. Day 7 of the Royal Tour of India and Bhutan started at Paro airport. They left Bhutan in rain, and landed in Agra in 40*C. The visit of TRH to the Taj Mahal signalled the completion of the Tour.

Day 4 of the Royal Tour of India and Bhutan was focused on nature and animal conservation at Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, in Assam. The Duke and Duchess went on a rhino safari the morning. Later, TRH met locals form Pan Bari Village, where they learned about rural life in India. They leave for Bhutan early next morning. Day 3 of the Royal Tour of India and Bhutan started in Delhi and moved on to Kaziranga, in East India. It was a busy day, which included an engagement with railway children, lunch with the Prime Minister of India, as well as a campsite dance for the celebration of Bohag Bihu, the Assamese New Year.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge continued their tour of India and Bhutan today. They had a busy day, which started in Mumbai, and then took them to Delhi. TRH met with Young people, and tested their inventions in Mumbai. They laid a wreath at India’s National War Memorial, and visited the last home of Gandhi. Later, the Duke and Duchess attended a Garden Party, celebrating the Queen’s 90th birthday next week. Continue reading
