The Raja Permaisuri Agong (Queen of Malaysia) joined the Yang di-Pertuan Agong (King of Malaysia) as he presided over the Opening Ceremony of the First Meeting of the Second Term of the 15th Parliament in the Dewan Rakyat in Kuala Lumpur on February 13th. This was the King’s final address to the Dewan Rakyat during his Tenure as Yang di-Pertuan Agong, which will end at the end of January 2024.
Princess ‘Azemah Ni’matul Bolkiah of Brunei, the eight child and fifth daughter of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei, with his second wife, Puan Mariam binti Abdul Aziz, married her first cousin, Prince Bahar ibni Jefri Bolkiah, the son of Prince Jefri Bolkiah of Brunei, in series of ceremonies at the Istana Nurul Iman in Bandar Seri Begawan last week.

The late Queen, who passed away at Balmoral Castle earlier this month, had been Lying-in-State first at St Giles’ Cathedral in Edinburgh and then at Westminster Hall in London for the past week.
