The Prince and Princess of Wales attended the Royal Film Performance World Premiere of Digger at the ODEON Luxe in Leicester Square in London on 22nd September, supporting the Film and TV Charity. The Prince and Princess last attended the Premiere of ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ in 2022.
Upon arrival, the Prince and Princess of Wales were greeted by the Deputy Lord Lieutenant and senior representatives from the Film and TV Charity, before being taken down the red carpet to meet members of the cast and creative team, including Tom Cruise and filmmaker Alejandro G. Iñárritu.
The premiere was hosted by Warner Bros. Pictures and the Film and TV Charity, and was be the 73rd Royal Film Performance delivered by the charity in its over 100-year history. With a legacy dating back to 1946, the Royal Film Performance raises funds for the charity to provide invaluable support to those across the film, television and cinema industries, many of whom work behind the scenes to bring stories to life on our screens.
From mental and physical wellbeing to financial support, the Film and TV Charity ensure that everyone working in the industry has somewhere to turn when they need help. This includes a 24/7 helpline, free counselling, financial grants, and a range of mental health initiatives designed to foster healthier, more supportive working environments.
