Funeral of Queen Elizabeth II

Foreign Royal Guests and Relatives and Heads of State and Representatives of 121 Countries joined the British Royal Family for the Funeral of Queen Elizabeth II at Westminster Abbey on September 19th, followed by a Procession to Marble Arch and a Committal Service at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle. The late Queen, who passed away at Balmoral Castle earlier this month, had been Lying-in-State first at St Giles’ Cathedral in Edinburgh and then at Westminster Hall in London for the past week.

Heads of State Reception at Buckingham Palace

Ahead of the Funeral of Queen Elizabeth II at Westminster Abbey tomorrow, the British Royal Family hosted a Reception for visiting Heads of State and Representatives at Buckingham Palace, which is stated to be one of the largest gatherings of Heads of State in History. Emperor Naruhito acceded to the Chrysanthemum Thone in May after the abdication of Emperor Akihito the previous day. In keeping with the importance of this event, I have decided to create an open post with all the details, links and livestreams from the event, along with live updates, which will keep all of you involved in the time before I post individual, detailed articles about each and every event!

American State Visit to Japan

Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako of Japan are hosting American President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump on their State Visit to Japan from May 25th to 28th, to strengthen diplomatic, political, and economic ties. The President is on a long Foreign Tour and will be on a State Visit to the United Kingdom next week. This is the first State Visit of their Reign, after the Emperor’s Accession earlier this month.
