The Japanese Imperial Family joined Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako as they presided over the Ceremony of New Year’s Celebration at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo on January 1st. This was the fourth New Year’s Reception of Emperor Naruhito’s Reign, with six separate Ceremonies, and the Imperial ladies wearing Tiaras for the first time since 2020.

Japanese New Year’s Reception 2023
The Japanese Imperial Family presided over the Ceremony of New Year’s Celebration at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo on January 1st. This was the third New Year’s Reception of Emperor Naruhito’s Reign, but due to the ongoing pandemic, the Ceremonies were reduced from six to five, and only one-tenth, 262, people were received. Funeral of Queen Elizabeth II
Foreign Royal Guests and Relatives and Heads of State and Representatives of 121 Countries joined the British Royal Family for the Funeral of Queen Elizabeth II at Westminster Abbey on September 19th, followed by a Procession to Marble Arch and a Committal Service at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle. The late Queen, who passed away at Balmoral Castle earlier this month, had been Lying-in-State first at St Giles’ Cathedral in Edinburgh and then at Westminster Hall in London for the past week.
Heads of State Reception at Buckingham Palace
Ahead of the Funeral of Queen Elizabeth II at Westminster Abbey tomorrow, the British Royal Family hosted a Reception for visiting Heads of State and Representatives at Buckingham Palace, which is stated to be one of the largest gatherings of Heads of State in History.
