The Duchess of Alba hosted Prince Ranier III and Princess Grace of Monaco, as well as Jacqueline Kennedy, at the Palacio de las Dueñas in Seville in 1966, 60 years ago, during the annual Seville Fair (Feria de Abril).
Among the festivities was a colourful Flamenco Fiesta, following a traditional procession through the streets of Seville.
Mrs. Kennedy and her party joined American-born Princess Grace of Monaco and her husband Prince Rainier for a lunch of seafood and champagne and a Flamenco concert. Princess Grace wore a tradition frilly Andalusian dress, while Mrs. Kennedy wore a suit.
Prince Rainier and Princess Grace also attended several bullfights, as did Jacqueline Kennedy alongside the Duchess of Alba and the Countess of Romanones.
The highlight of the festivities was a lavish Ball held by the Duchess of Medinaceli at the Casa de Pilatos, which was also attended by leading members of the Spanish Nobility.
Princess Grace wore her Diamond Tiara and Van Cleef & Arpels Diamond Bracelet.
Jackie Kennedy was wearing her Diamond Sunburst Brooch.
Princess Esperanza of Orléans-Braganza was wearing her Diamond Necklace.
The Duchess of Alba wore her Emerald Earrings.
