Wedding of Duchess Amelie of Württemberg and Baron Franz-Ferdinand von Feilitzsch

Royal Guests and Relatives from around Europe have joined the extended Württemberg Royal Family for the Wedding of Duchess Amelie of Württemberg and Baron Franz-Ferdinand von Feilitzsch in Altshausen on September 2nd, to be followed by a spectacular Ball at Schloss Altshausen this evening.

The Wedding of Duchess Amelie of Württemberg, daughter of the late Hereditary Duke Friedrich of Württemberg and Princess Marie of Wied, and Baron Franz-Ferdinand von Feilitzsch was held in the Kirche St. Michael Altshausen, where the couple were married in a Roman Catholic Ceremony. Duchess Amelie was escorted up the aisle by her brother, the Duke of Württemberg.

Following the wedding, Duchess Amelie of Württemberg and Baron Franz-Ferdinand von Feilitzsch led their families and Royal and Nobles Guests and Relatives from around Europe in a traditional Procession back to Schloss Altshausen, where a Ball will be held this evening.

Duchess Amelie of Württemberg is wearing the Württemberg Bridal Diadem for her Wedding to Baron Franz-Ferdinand von Feilitzsch, along with her mother’s Wedding Gown.

Royal Guests and Relatives from around Europe were among the 380 Guests, led by the Duke of Württemberg (brother) with Princess Dian, Duchess of Württemberg (grandmother) and Dowager Duchess Marie (mother) along with Queen Mathilde of Belgium, the Margrave and Margravine of BadenDuchess Elisabeth in Bavaria, Infanta Maria Francisca of Portugal and Tariq Judeh and Zane Abu Hantash.

 

Duchess Amelie of Württemberg married Baron Franz-Ferdinand von Feilitzsch in a Civil Ceremony at Schloss Friedrichshafen, the summer residence of the Württemberg Royal Family, in May.

Duchess Amelie is the daughter of the late Hereditary Duke Friedrich of Württemberg and Princess Marie of Wied and the sister of the current Duke of Württemberg. Her paternal grandparents were the late Duke of Württemberg and Princess Diane of Orléans. Baron Franz-Ferdinand is the only son of Baron Louis-Ferdinand Lazarus von Feilitzsch and Johanna Sofie Strabolakos, who reside at Schloss Feilitzsch in Upper Franconia and in Lake Tegernsee. The newlyweds will reside at Schloss Hänselstein in Feilitzsch.
