Funeral of the Margrave of Baden

 

The Margrave and Margravine of Baden and Archduchess Valerie, the Dowager Margravine of Baden were joined by members of the extended Baden Royal Family and Foreign Royalty for the Funeral of Max, Margrave of Baden, at the Salemer Münster inside the Schloss Salem complex on January 13th, following a public service held the previous evening. The nephew of the late Duke of Edinburgh, the Margrave had been the Head of the Baden Royal Family since 1963 and was married to Archduchess Valerie of Austria.

 

Royal Guests and Relatives in attendence included King Philippe of Belgium, Prince Albert II of Monaco, Hereditary Princess Sophie of Liechtenstein, Prince Hassan, Princess Sarvath and Princess Sumaya of Jordan, Princess Caroline of Hanover, Prince Ernst August and Princess Ekaterina of Hanover, the Prince and Princess of Prussia, Prince and Princess Ursula von Bayern, Archduke Georg of Austria and Archduchess Sophia of Austria, Prince Guillaume and Princess Sibilla of Luxembourg, the Duke and Duchess Marie of Württemberg, the Landgrave (who represented King Charles III) and Landgravine of Hesse, the Prince (representing the Princess Royal) and Princess of Hohenlohe-Langenburg, Prince Berthold of Baden (representing the Earl of Wessex), the Prince and Princess of Hohenzollern, and the Prince and Princess of Schaumburg-Lippe.
