The Nobel Peace Prize is awarded at a ceremony by the Chairman of the Norwegian Nobel Committee in the presence of King Harald, Queen Sonja, Crown Prince Haakon, and Crown Princess Mette-Marit at the Oslo City Hall. This year’s Prize was awarded to human rights advocate Ales Bialiatski from Belarus, the Russian human rights organisation Memorial and the Ukrainian human rights organisation Center for Civil Liberties, and they were received by the Royal Family at the Royal Palace of Oslo ahead of the Ceremony.
