The Wedding of Crown Prince Alexander of Yugoslavia, son of King Peter II of Yugoslavia and Princess Alexandra of Greece, and Princess Maria da Glória de Orleans-Braganza, daughter of Prince Pedro Gastón de Orleans-Braganza and Princess María de la Esperanza de Borbón-Dos Sicilias, at the Palacio de Villamanrique de la Condesa de París in Villamanrique de la Condesa, near Seville on this day in 1972. The couple had three sons; Hereditary Prince Peter, and Prince Philip, Prince Alexander, before their divorce in 1985, with the Crown Prince remarrying to Crown Princess Katherine and Princess Maria da Glória marrying the Duke of Segorbe.

Royal Guests and Relatives in attendance included King Umberto II of Italy, King Constantine II (cousin of the groom) and Queen Anne-Marie of Greece, Prince Juan Carlos (cousin of the bride) and Princess Sofia of Spain (cousin of the groom), Princess Anne (cousin of the groom), the Count and Countess of Paris (aunt of the bride), the Countess of Barcelona (aunt of the bride), the Duchess of Braganza (aunt of the bride), and Princess Olga of Yugoslavia (cousin of the groom).
