The Wedding of Prince Henri d’Orléans, the Count of Paris, son of the Duke of Guise and Princess Isabelle of Orléans and the Heir to the House of Orléans, and Princess Isabelle of Orléans-Braganza, (wearing her Diamond Bracelet Tiara and Pearl Sautoir) the eldest daughter of Prince Pedro de Alcântara, Prince of Grão-Pará and Countess Elisabeth Dobrzensky of Dobrzenicz, at the Cathedral of Palermo on this day in 1931, followed by a walk to the Reception for 1,500 guests at the Palazzo d’Orleans in Palermo. The couple had 11 children, including the Count of Paris, Duchess of Württemberg, the Duchess of Calabria, and the Duchess of Aosta, and separated in 1986, though they remained married until his death in 1999. The Countess of Paris passed away in 2003.

Royal Guests and Relatives in attendance included Queen Amelie of Portugal (aunt of the groom), the Duke and Duchess of Aosta (sister and cousin/brother-in-law of the groom), Prince Christopher and Princess Françoise of Greece (sister and brother-in-law of the groom), Prince Rene of Bourbon Parma and Princess Margaret of Denmark among fifty Princes and Princesses from around Europe.
