The Prince of Wales (Duke of Rothesay in Scotland) was joined by the Princess Royal and Sir Timothy Laurence for the Service of the Most Ancient and Most Noble Order of the Thistle at St Giles’ Cathedral in Edinburgh on June 30th. The Order of Thistle is the highest Order in Scotland and the second highest Order in the United Kingdom, and it’s service is held every two years.

Later, the Prince of Wales joined the Queen (wearing the Nizam of Hyderabad Brooches) for The Queen’s Body Guard for Scotland Redondo Parade at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh, after which the Queen was presented with a ‘Reddendo’ from The Royal Company of Archers – who are Her Majesty’s Body Guard in Scotland. The Royal Family hosted a Garden Party at the Palace of Holyroodhouse the previous day.
