Tomorrow, Prince Christian of Denmark, the eldest son of Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary, will be confirmed at Fredensborg Palace, so we are looking at the Confirmation of his grandmother, Crown Princess (now Queen) Margrethe, eldest daughter of King Frederik IX of Denmark and Princess Ingrid of Sweden (wearing her Daisy Brooch), at the Fredensborg Palace Church in 1955. Queen Margrethe was christened on this day in 1940, just weeks into the Nazi Occupation of Denmark.
