Later today, the Swedish Royal Family will preside over one of their most glittering events of the year, the annual Nobel Prize Ceremony and Banquet, and we are taking a look at the Nobel Prize Ceremony on this day in 1953, the highlight of which was Lady Churchill (wearing the Marchioness of Cholmondeley’s Emerald Tiara and Necklace and the Order of the British Empire) and receiving the Literature Prize on behalf of Sir Winston Churchill from King Gustaf VI Adolf of Sweden (in the Order of the Seraphim) in Stockholm. Queen Louise (wearing the Leuchtenberg Sapphire Tiara and the Order of the Seraphim), Princess Sibylla (in the Aquamarine Kokoshnik Tiara and the Order of the Seraphim), Princess Ingeborg (wearing a Diamond Tiara and the Order of the Seraphim), and Princess Margretha (in the Order of the Seraphim) were also present.
