Glittering Royal guests and relatives included Richard (in the Order of Dannebrog) and Christa Manley, Queen Anne Marie of Greece (wearing the Greek Emerald Parure Tiara and the Order of the Elephant), Princess Benedikte (in the Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg Fringe Tiara and the Order of the Elephant), Queen Silvia (wearing the Napoleonic Amethyst Tiara and the Order of the Elephant) and Crown Princess Victoria (in her 18th Birthday Tiara and the Order of the Elephant) of Sweden, Crown Princess Marie Chantal of Greece (wearing the Antique Corsage Tiara and the Order of Saints George and Constantine), Princess Nathalie (in Queen Sophia’s Star and Pearl Tiara), Count Christian (wearing the Order of the Elephant) and Countess Anne Dorte of Rosenborg (in Queen Alexandrine’s Russian Sapphire Tiara), with Countess Josephine (wearing Queen Alexandrine’s 25th Anniversary Tiara), Countess Camilla (in the Rosenborg Spike Tiara), and Countess Feodora.

I’ve always thought that Alexandra, Countess of Frederiksborg, has excellent taste in the way she presents herself. She was, and is, a very elegant lady. I think- I trust- that Prince Joachim has matured and that he won’t put Princess Marie through the same wringer as the Countess. People do change, thank goodness! 🙂
My, but that “starter tiara” belonging to Crown Princess Victoria is sad. Like a row of paper clips. I hope she doesn’t give it to Princess Estelle when she turns 18!
