Queen Isabella II’s Mellerio Diamond Star Tiara

Today marks the anniversary of the death of Queen Isabel II of Spain, who passed away on this day in 1904! The eldest surviving child of King Fernando VII and his wife and niece, Maria Cristina of Bourbon-Two Sicilies, she became Queen of Spain at the early age of 3, with a reign as “queen of sad fates” marked by a great political turmoil that ended in a Parisian exile in 1868, after a Glorious Revolution, but to mark this anniversary, we are taking a look at the Queen’s Mellerio Diamond Stars.

Entente Cordiale 120th Anniversary Parade at Buckingham Palace

The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, on behalf of King Charles III, accompanied by the UK Chief of the General Staff, General Sir Patrick Sanders, French Chief of the Army Staff, General Pierre Schill and the French Ambassador to the UK, Her Excellency Hélène Duchêne, to attend a parade to commemorate the 120th anniversary of the Entente Cordiale in the forecourt of Buckingham Palace. Easter at Windsor Castle

King Charles III and Queen Camilla led members of the Royal Family at the annual Easter Sunday Mattins Service at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle on March 31st, while the King is recovering from cancer. Earlier this week, Queen Camilla represented King Charles III, the Head of the Church of England, to present Maundy Money to 75 men and 75 women pensioners during the Royal Maundy Service at Worcester Cathedral.
