Happy Birthday to King Willem-Alexander, who turns 50 today. Though the King and Royal family will spend today in Tilburg, they will host a dinner in honour of the King’s 50th birthday at the Royal Palace in Amsterdam, for 150 guests that have the same birthday as the King, on the 28th. Take a look below at scenes from the then Prince of Orange’s 40th Birthday Celebration in September 2007, a few months later because the couple had their third daughter in April, at Het Loo Palace which had many foreign Royal guests in attendence-

Queen Máxima at W20 Conference

Queen Máxima of The Netherlands attended the W20 conference in Berlin, Germany on April 25th. The conference, part of a series of events in connection with Germany’s leadership of the G20 group of nations this year, focuses on women’s empowerment, through entrepreneurship and the digital economy. Queen Máxima is the UN Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development and Honorary Patron of the G20 Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion (GPFI).  Continue reading →

The Wedding of Princess Alexandra of Kent and the Hon. Angus Ogilvy, son of the Earl of Airlie at Westminster Abbey on this day in 1963 . The only daughter of Prince George, Duke of Kent and Princess Marina of Greece and Denmark, Princess Alexandra is the only paternal female cousin of Queen Elizabeth II, and so her Wedding was a major State Occasion, including a Ball at Windsor Castle, with a King and eight Queens among Royal Guests and Relatives in attendance, many more than at the Wedding of Princess Margaret three years previously. King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands will celebrate his 50th Birthday on April 27th. Though the royal family will be in Tilburg on the 27th, they are hosting a Gala Dinner Royal Palace in Amsterdam for 150 guests. Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry reflect for Heads Together

Kensington palace has released a video of a conversation between the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry at Kensington Palace.  The Royal Trio spoke about emotional changes new parents go through, bereavement, the stresses of modern childhood, and dealing with trauma in the workplace.
