King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands will celebrate his 50th Birthday on April 27th. Though the royal family will be in Tilburg on the 27th, they are hosting a Gala Dinner Royal Palace in Amsterdam for 150 guests. In honour of the occasion, we are flashing back to previous Dutch royal milestone birthdays. Today’s feature- Queen Beatrix’s 60th Birthday in January 1998. On the evening of January 30th, the Dutch Royal family and their guests attended a Ballet performance at the Muziek Theater in Amsterdam, while on the evening of the 31st, there was a gala dinner at the Royal Palace of Amsterdam.

At the Ballet Performance, Queen Beatrix wore a purple and magenta gown with pearls and a black cape. She was seen with the Prince of Wales, who wore Black Tie. Then Crown Prince Willem Alexander also wore Black Tie.
