Funeral of Queen Elizabeth II

Foreign Royal Guests and Relatives and Heads of State and Representatives of 121 Countries joined the British Royal Family for the Funeral of Queen Elizabeth II at Westminster Abbey on September 19th, followed by a Procession to Marble Arch and a Committal Service at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle. The late Queen, who passed away at Balmoral Castle earlier this month, had been Lying-in-State first at St Giles’ Cathedral in Edinburgh and then at Westminster Hall in London for the past week.

Heads of State Reception at Buckingham Palace

Ahead of the Funeral of Queen Elizabeth II at Westminster Abbey tomorrow, the British Royal Family hosted a Reception for visiting Heads of State and Representatives at Buckingham Palace, which is stated to be one of the largest gatherings of Heads of State in History. Princess Margarita of Baden’s Tiaras

Today marks the 90th Anniversary of the Birth of the late Princess Margarita of Baden and Yugoslavia, who was born on this day in 1932! The only daughter of Berthold, Margrave of Baden and Princess Theodora of Greece, the eldest niece of the late Duke of Edinburgh,  Princess Margarita was a nurse before she married and divorced Prince Tomislav of Yugoslavia, wearing these two splendid Tiaras througout her life!

Hereditary Prince Peter of Serbia renounces Succession Rights

Hereditary Prince Peter of Serbia and Yugoslavia, the oldest son of the Crown Prince Alexander of Serbia and Princess Maria da Gloria of Orleans-Braganza, abdicated in favour of his younger brother Prince Philip, on the 27th of April 2022 in the Casa de Pilatos in Seville, so a Serbian friend of The Royal Watcher, Mirko Savkic, has written a guest post detailing the renunciation!

Queen Maria of Yugoslavia’s Gold Cross Tiara

Today marks the 60th Anniversary of the Death of Queen Maria of Yugoslavia, who died on this day in 1961! The Romanian Princess who married the first Yugoslavia King that was assassinated and later became the mother of the last King of Yugoslavia before spending decades in exile in the United Kingdom, Queen Maria lived a fascinating life, and possessed an intriguing jewellery collection, the most striking piece from which was her Gold Cross Tiara!
