The British Royal Family joined the King and Queen to attend the Service for the Most Noble Order of the Garter at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle on June 19th, following Trooping the Colour and the Coronation. The oldest and most senior Order of Chivalry in Britain, the Most Noble Order of the Garter was founded by King Edward III in 1348, and is limited to the Sovereign, the Prince of Wales and 24 members as well as members of the Royal Family, known as Royal Knights and Ladies, and Foreign Sovereigns, known as Stranger (or Extra) Knights and Ladies. Happy Birthday to Zara Tindall, who turns 42 today! The late Queen’s only female-line granddaughter who is an accomplished equestrian and an Olympic Silver Medalist, Zara has not worn many Royal Heirlooms, though she debuted a specular jewel at the Coronation earlier this month: Princess Anne’s Diamond Bow Brooch!

Royalty and Heads of State from around the world have gathered to join the British Royal Family for the spectacular Coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla at Westminster Abbey on May 6th, which is the first British Coronation in 70 years. The Ceremony follows the King’s Accession Council in September as well as a Reception for Royalty and Heads of State at Buckingham Palace.
On the eve of the Coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla, the British Royal Family hosted a Reception at Buckingham Palace for Foreign Royalty and Heads of State who are in London to attend the Coronation. Earlier, the Royal Family hosted a Reception for Realm Governors General and Commonwealth Prime Minsters.
The King, Queen and members of the Royal Family attended the annual Easter Sunday Service at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle on April 9th, which is also the Anniversary of the Wedding of the King and Queen and the Death of the Duke of Edinburgh in 2021.
King Charles III, Head of the Commonwealth, and Queen Camilla (wearing Queen Mary’s Russian Sapphire Cluster Brooch) were accompanied by the Prince and Princess of Wales, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, the Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence as they attended the annual Commonwealth Day Service at Westminster Abbey on March 13th. The King is the Head of the Commonwealth, and the Commonwealth Service is the largest annual inter-faith gathering in the United Kingdom.
