On the eve of the Coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla, the British Royal Family hosted a Reception at Buckingham Palace for Foreign Royalty and Heads of State who are in London to attend the Coronation. Earlier, the Royal Family hosted a Reception for Realm Governors General and Commonwealth Prime Minsters.
The Dutch Royal Family attended the annual Koningsdagconcert (King’s Day Concert) at the RTM Stage van Ahoy in Rotterdam on April 19th, to honour those involved in the organisation of Koningsdag in Rotterdam. Royal Guests from around the world joined the Greek Royal Family for the the Funeral of King Constantine II of Greece at the Metropolitan Cathedral in Athens at noon on January 16th, which will be followed by the Burial in the Royal Cemetery at Tatoi Palace. The former King Constantine II was an Olympic Gold Medalist before becoming the Sovereign for nine years and then being exiled for over 40 years, returning to Greece only a decade ago. Happy Birthday to the Princess of Orange, who is turning 19 today! The eldest of the Dutch Royal ‘A-Team’ who is set to be the fourth Queen Regnant of the Netherlands, the Dutch Heiress has expressed an interest in royal jewels (If you are reading this YRH, we have some suggestions), and has already worn quite a few splendid jewels from the massive family collection, including pieces from the spectacular Dutch Emerald Parure!
King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of the Netherlands are hosting Italian President Sergio Mattarella and his daughter, Laura Mattarella, on their three-day State Visit to The Netherlands from November 9th to the 11th to promote and celebrate diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties, and deepening of the cooperation to a stronger, more sustainable and safer Europe. The Dutch King and Queen went on a State Visit to Italy in 2017, while the last Italian State Visit was in 2003.
Foreign Royal Guests and Relatives joined the British Royal Family for the Committal Service for Queen Elizabeth II at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle on September 19th, following the Funeral at Westminster Abbey and a Procession through London. The late Queen, who passed away at Balmoral Castle earlier this month, had been Lying-in-State first at St Giles’ Cathedral in Edinburgh and then at Westminster Hall in London for the past week.
