Wedding Ball of Princess Beatrix of The Netherlands

Royal Guests from around Europe joined the Dutch Royal Family for the Wedding Ball of Princess Beatrix of The Netherlands and Claus von Amsberg at the Royal Palace of Amsterdam on this day in 1966, 60 years ago, after a Dinner at the Hilton Hotel in Amsterdam, which itself followed a Dinner at the Prinsenhof in Delft.

Queen Juliana and Prince Bernhard held a Ball for Princess Beatrix of The Netherlands and Claus von Amsberg at the Royal Palace in Amsterdam, following a Dinner at the Hilton Hotel in Amsterdam, two days before the Royal Wedding.

After the glittering banquet at the Hilton, the guests were transferred to the Royal Palace of Amsterdam, in the Dam Square where a grand ball would take place. Inside, Princess Beatrix and Mr. Claus on Amsberg opened the ball and then mingled with their guests in the Burgerzaal of the Palace.
