King Frederik X and Queen Mary of Denmark are hosting Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi on his State Visit to Denmark this week, which is the second State Visit of the Reign of King Frederik X. The Danish-Egyptian diplomatic ties go all the way back to 1922, and Denmark and Egypt have also collaborated for a long time with a focus on young people and job creation in Egypt in connection with the Danish-Arab Partnership Programme.
King Frederik X and Queen Mary (wearing her Diamond Flower Brooch) received President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi at Christian VII’s Palace at Amalienborg before the wreath-laying ceremony at the Monument in Kastellet, which was followed by a carriage procession to Christian VII’s Palace at Amalienborg, where there was another review of the Guard.
In the afternoon, King Frederik X joined President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi at a business conference in Eigtveds Pakhus, to launch a Danish-Egyptian trade forum with the participation of Danish and Egyptian companies and decision-makers.
In the evening, Princess Marie and Princess Benedikte joined King Frederik X and Queen Mary as they hosted a State Banquet in honour of President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi (wearing the Order of the Elephant) at Christiansborg Palace. Both the King and President gave speeches.

It is a great pleasure, together with Queen Mary, to welcome you to Denmark. Tonight we celebrate not only the first state visit from Egypt to Denmark, but also your first state visit to Scandinavia.
The ties between our countries go back a long way, and my own family has brought back fond and lasting memories from your beautiful country for several generations. Not least my father, Prince Henrik, who had a great love for Egypt, which was also his last destination.
A love that many Danes share once they have immersed themselves in the rich Egyptian nature, culture and history.
Mr. President, you have come to Denmark, and it is cold here. Queen Mary and I are very pleased that you have made the trip here.
Tonight we write another chapter in our shared history. A history that goes back far, with more than 100 years of diplomatic relations, and a history that points forward to the visions we share for the future.

Princess Benedikte wore the Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg Fringe Tiara with Queen Victoria of Sweden’s Diamond Stars and the Order of Al-Kamal.

I’m not sure of His Majesty in a couple of pics. His suit seems Ill fitting. Seems tight jacket, a little bit long pant legs, maybe a half inch shorter and they wouldn’t bunch up.
