The British Royal Family celebrated the King’s Official Birthday at the annual Trooping the Colour Ceremony in London on June 15th. The annual event of Trooping of the Colour has marked the official birthday of the Sovereign for more than 260 years, and this is the second of King Charles’ Reign.
The Prince and Princess of Wales (seen for the first time in six months) and their Family and the Duke of Edinburgh and Duchess of Edinburgh and their Family were pictured arriving at Buckingham Palace ahead of the Trooping the Colour Ceremony.
The Prince of Wales, the Princess Royal and the Duke of Edinburgh rode on Horseback, while King Charles III, Queen Camilla, the Princess of Wales, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, the Duchess of Edinburgh, Sir Timothy Laurence, and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester were in carriages as they rode down the Mall from Buckingham Palace to Horse Guards Parade, where they joined other members of the Royal Family to watch the parade from the Major General’s office.

King Charles III, the Head of the Armed Forces, was joined by Queen Camilla, (Colonel of The Grenadier Guards), the Prince of Wales, (Colonel of The Welsh Guards), the Princess of Wales, (Colonel of The Irish Guards), the Princess Royal, (Gold Stick in Waiting and Colonel of The Blues and Royals, Royal Horse Guards and 1st Dragoons), and the Duke of Edinburgh, (Colonel of the Scots Guards), to view the No. 9 and No. 12 Company Irish Guards troop their Colour, while the Sovereign’s Escort was provided by The Life Guards and The Blues and Royals.
Following the Parade, members of the Royal Family returned to Buckingham Palace on horseback or in carriages, escorted by the The Life Guards and The Blues and Royals, with the King taking the salute upon arrival back at the Palace.
Members of the Royal Family appeared on the Balcony of Buckingham Palace to view the Royal Air Force Flypast, followed by the National Anthem, which marked the end of the King’s Official Birthday.
