The Wedding of Maximilian, Margrave of Baden, the eldest son of Berthold, Margrave of Baden and Princess Theodora of Greece and Denmark, and Archduchess Valerie of Austria, the ninth of the thirteen children of Archduke Hubert Salvator of Austria and Princess Rosemary of Salm-Salm (wearing the Baden Sunburst Tiara), at Schloss Persenbeug, the bride’s family home, in Austria on this day 1966, following a Civil Ceremony and Ball at Schloss Salem and a Ball at Schloss Persenbeug. The Margrave is the Head of the House of Zähringen and the Pretender to the Grand Duchy of Baden, the couple have four children, and reside at Schloss Salem.

  1. Congratulations to the Margrave and Margravine of Baden on attaining such a significant milestone! I think the Margravine Valerie is about the only woman in the Baden family who actually looks good in the Baden Sunburst tiara. I wish her and her husband much joy!
