Princess Anne was photographed by Norman Parkinson for her 21st Birthday, which were released on this day in 1971 (50 years ago), on the eve of her Birthday. Many of the Portraits were then included in the September Issue of British Vogue. 

Princess Anne wore Princess Andrew’s Meander Tiara in front of a spectacular painting depicting a traditional English scene by Gordon Davis.

Princess Anne also wore a mystery Diamond Scroll Tiara.

Princess Anne wears a Diamond Tiara and ice pale long dress with Medici sleeves. The backdrop, an imaginary landscape painted for her birthday by Gordon Davis, a white horse carries her standard

Many of the outdoor portraits were taken by Norman Parkinson in and around the Gothic Ruin Summer House in the gardens of Frogmore House in Windsor, among them was the portrait that made the cover of British Vogue.
