Happy Birthday to Hugh Grosvenor, the 7th Duke of Westminster! The third child and only son of the 6th Duke of Westminster and Natalia Phillips, who has close links with the British Royal Family, the then Earl Grosvenor grew up at the family seat of Eaton Hall in Cheshire, studying at the Mostyn House School before attending Ellesmere College and studying countryside management at Newcastle University. The Earl worked at Wheatsheaf Investment and at Bio-bean, a green energy company, alongside his role with the Grosvenor Group. In 2016, he became the 7th Duke of Westminster upon the death of his father, also inheriting a fortune estimated at around £10.2 billion, making him the world’s richest person aged under 30, and the United Kingdom’s 10th richest person and the world’s 163rd wealthiest individual. The Grosvenor Family’s fortune dates back to 1677, and includes large parts of central London, though the family now has business interests in 62 international cities, In 2020, the Duke donated several millions of pounds in support of the response to the COVID-19 pandemic and NHS. Little is known about his personal life, except his long term relationship, but the Duke is a godfather to Prince George of Cambridge. The Duke is also a first cousin of the Duke of Roxburghe, Marquess of Hamilton, Earl of Lichfield, and Viscountess Grimston. We wish His Grace a very Happy Birthday and Many Happy Returns!

The Duke of Westminster married Miss Olivia Henson in Chester Cathedral in June 7th, 2024, in the presence of the Prince of Wales.
