Duke of Westminster’s Memorial Service

Members of the British Royal family joined mourners to pay tribute to the sixth Duke of Westminster at a service in Chester Cathedral on November 28th. The Duke, who was Britain’s third richest man and the richest property developer in the UK, died on August 9th.

Among the Royals present were the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, the Duke of Kent, Price Micheal of Kent, Princess Alexandra of Kent, and Princess Eugenie. Among the other royals present was Crown Prince Pavlos of Greece and Lady Rose Gilman, daughter of the Duke & Duchess of Gloucester.The royals have many ties to the family of the late Duke, as the Duchess of Westminster is godmother to the Duke of Cambridge, and the new Duke is godfather to Prince George. The Duke of Cambridge read the Garter Prayer during the memorial service.feature.png
