Swedish National Day 2018

On the morning of Swedish National Day, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia opened the Royal Palace of Stockholm. Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel attended the National Day Celebration at Strömsholm Castle and marked the 100th Anniversary of the Strömsholm Days. Prince Carl Philip joined the King and Queen  as the presented scholarships foe the drawing competition “The thinking hand.”

In the evening, the entire Royal Family rode in a carriages to attend a concert at Skansen. King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia were joined by Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, Princess Estelle, Prince Oscar, Prince Carl-Phillip, Princess Sofia, Princess Madeleine, and Christopher O’Neil. For the concert, the ladies changed into Sverigedräkten, Swedish National dress since 1983. Later, they attended the National Day Reception at the Royal Palace.

Earlier in the day, annual new photos were released of Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar, taken by Erika Gerdemark at Haga Palace, in National dress.
