Wedding of Princess Alexandra of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg, eldest daughter of Princess Benedikte of Denmark and Prince Richard of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg and niece of Queen Margrethe and Queen Anne Marie, and Count Jefferson von Pfeil und Klein-Ellguth at Gråsten Palace in Denmark on this day in 1998. The couple had two children, and announced their divorce last year.

Princess Alexandra wore a Jørgen Bender gown with the Khedive of Egypt Tiara over Princess Margaret of Connaught’s Irish Lace veil. Prince Richard wore White Tie.
