Crown Prince Frederik has been celebrating his 50th Birthday in a series of events, including a Jubilee Dinner, Royal Run, and Portrait Unveiling culminating to the celebrations on May 26th, his birthday.

At noon, Queen Margrethe and the Crown Prince Frederik, Crown Princess Mary, Prince Christian, Princess Isabella, Prince Vincent, and Princess Josephine appeared on the Balcony of Frederik VIII’s Palace, Amalienborg to wave to the crowds gathered below. This Balcony is different from the one usually used, as this one belongs to the residence of the Crown Princely Family.
In the early evening, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary (in her Necklace Tiara) traveled in a Carriage through the streets of Copenhagen to the Gala Dinner at Christiansborg Castle, with an escort of the Gardehusarregimentets Hesteskadron.
