In May, we featured the Wedding of Lady Charlotte Wellesley, daughter of the Duke of Wellington, to Colombian financier Alejandro Santo Domingo in Granada, Spain. The wedding was held at the 16th-century Church of the Incarnation in Illora before reception at Duke’s estate. Guests included the Duchess of Cornwall and former King Juan Carlos of Spain. In June, we featured the wedding of the Honorable Alexandra Knatchbull, daughter of Lord and Lady Brabourne and granddaughter of Countess Mountbatten, when she married Thomas Hooper at Romsey Abbey.. The Prince of Wales walked the bride, a goddaughter of the late Diana, Princess of Wales, up the aisle, and the wedding was attended by a host of British and Foreign Royals, including Queen Elizabeth II, the King and Queen of Greece, and Queen Sofia of Spain. Alexandra is the great-granddaughter of the famous Lord Mountbatten, the last viceroy of India, and the family still maintain their ties with Royalty of Europe. Continue reading
In July, we featured the Wedding of Henry, Earl of Arundel and Surrey, eldest son and heir of the 18th Duke and Duchess of Norfolk, when he married Cecilia Colacicchi, daughter of Mr and Mrs William Colacicchi, in Arundel, West Sussex. Also in july, we featured the Wedding of Hereditary Prince Franz Albrecht zu Oettingen-Spielberg to Baroness Cleopatra von Adelsheim von Ernest in a religious service in Oettingen, Bavaria. The bride and groom, who come from illustrious families, were married in civil ceremony at the bride’s family estate in Adelsheim, Germany, earlier this summer. The religious wedding and reception were attended by celebrities and members of German Royal Houses. Continue reading
The wedding of Prince Maximilian of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg to Ms Franziska Balzer took place at the Stadtkirche in Bad Laasphe on August 6th. The reception took place at Schloss Wittgenstein. Many German royals attended the ceremony. Continue reading
In October, we featured the Wedding of Crown Prince Leka of the Albanians to Ms Elia Zaharia at the Royal Palace of Tirana. After the wedding ceremony, a reception was held at the Royal Residence. A number of representatives of foreign royal families were present, including Queen Sofia of Spain and Empress Farah of Iran. A banquet was held at the Royal palace in the evening. Continue reading
Also in October, we featured the religious wedding of Prince Mihailo of Yugoslavia to Ljubica Ljubisavljevic at St George’s Church in Oplenac, central Serbia. The couple were married earlier in a civil ceremony in London. Prince Mihailo is a cousin of Crown Prince Alexander of Serbia, the current pretender to the former Yugoslavian throne. The reception was held at the White Palace, residence of Crown Prince Alexander, in Belgrade. Continue reading
