The Wedding Ball of Princess Margaretha (wearing the Aquamarine Kokoshnik Tiara) and Princess Désirée of Sweden (in her Diamond Tiara) hosted by their grandfather, King Gustaf Adolf and Queen Louise of Sweden (wearing the Baden Fringe Tiara), at the Royal Palace of Stockholm on this day in 1964. Among the Royal attendees were their mother, Princess Sibylla (in the Connaught Diamond Tiara), sisters, Princess Brigitta (wearing a Hohenzollern Sapphire Bandeau) and Princess Christina (in the Four-Button Tiara), brother Prince Carl Gustaf, aunt Queen Ingrid (in the Pearl Poiré Tiara), and cousins Crown Princess Margrethe (wearing the Alexandrine Drop Tiara), Princess Benedikte (in her Floral Tiara) and Princess Anne Marie (wearing Queen Ingrid’s Diamond Pendant) of Denmark. Princess Désirée married Baron Niclas Silfverschiöld the following day while Princess Margaretha married John Ambler at the end of the month.
