Royal Guests at the Wedding Gala of Prince of Asturias

Royal Guests and Relatives from around the world joined the Spanish Royal Family for a spectacular Gala Dinner at El Pardo Royal Palace, in the outskirts of Madrid, on this day in 2004, 20 years ago, on the eve of the Wedding of Don Felipe, Prince of Asturias, and Doña Letizia Ortiz Rocasolano. Iranian State Visit to Denmark, 1959

Following his State Visit to the United Kingdom, King Frederik IX and Queen Ingrid of Denmark hosted Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi of Iran on his State Visit to Denmark on this day in 1959, 65 years ago, ahead of his State Visit to The Netherlands. The visit was reciprocated by the Danish State Visit to Iran in 1963, and attendance at festivities marking the 2500th Anniversary of the Persian Empire.
