The Collection of Raine, Countess Spencer will be auctioned at Christie’s in London today. Raine was the daughter of novelist Dame Barbra Cartland, and at various times was the Countess of Dartmouth, Countess Spencer, and the Comtesse de Chambrun. She was also the stepmother of Diana, Princess of Wales. Raine, Countess Spencer died in London last October aged 87.
