King Abdullah II and Queen Rania of Jordan hosted King Harald V and Queen Sonja of Norway on their State Visit to Jordan from March 2nd to the 4th, to celebrate and build diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties. This is the first Norwegian State Visit to the Middle East, 20 years after the Jordanian State Visit to Norway, as well as the 50th State Visit of King Harald’s Reign and the first official incoming visit to Jordan in King Abdullah’s reign. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are on an official visit to the Republic of Ireland between March 3rd and March 5th, at the request of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. The visit, which includes visits to Dublin, County Meath, County Kildare and Galway, highlights the many strong links between the United Kingdom and Ireland.
