After each parliamentary election, the King and Queen traditionally invite the new members of parliament, the government and representatives of the Riksdag’s leadership to a dinner and concert, with the last one held in 2019. Foreign Royal Guests joined the Norwegian Royal Family for Princess Ingrid Alexandra’s 18th Birthday Banquet at the Royal Palace in Oslo on June 17th, as part of her delayed 18th Birthday Celebrations. The Swedish Royal Family hosting President Sauli Niinistö and First Lady Jenni Haukio of Finland, who are on a State Visit to Sweden from May 17th to the 19th, to celebrate and build diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties. King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia last made a State Visit to Finland in 2015, while the last Finnish State Visit was in 2012.
